Plus d'informations
The story of this cuvée is deeply rooted in the restoration of an exceptional terroir. In 2014, when the teams of Virant took over Château Beauferan, the historic vineyard had been left abandoned. Convinced of its remarkable potential, our winemakers undertook a complete rehabilitation, carefully preserving the old vines while replanting young grape varieties.
This precise work restored Terre de Beauferan to its noble status within the AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation. This exceptional rosé wine expresses the true identity of this rehabilitated site. Sourced from a rigorous blend of Grenache, cinsault, Syrah, and Cabernet, it is crafted using technical direct pressing and cold stabilization in our cellars.
This expertise reveals a clean aromatic profile, featuring a nose of cherry and strawberry, balanced on the palate by a crisp entry with notes of citrus and exotic fruits. A distinguished Provence rosé with great character, perfect for your summer dining.
Pairing
This rosé wine is perfect as an aperitif or alongside grilled meats and fish, traditional Provençal dishes, and spicy cuisine. You will also be pleasantly surprised by the novel flavor pairing when enjoying it with goat cheeses or tomme cheeses.
Tasting advice
This Provence rosé is best enjoyed thoroughly chilled. For the perfect tasting experience without altering its structure, we recommend chilling your glass before serving by swirling an ice cube quickly inside, then removing the cube before pouring the wine to preserve the absolute integrity of its aromas.
Environnemental initiatives
Having been committed to sustainable and responsible viticulture for many years — recognised by the High Environmental Value (HVE) label — Virant is now taking a new step forward with an ambitious agro-ecological transition, centred on restoring and maintaining soil life. Plant cover, limiting inputs, and encouraging natural beneficial organisms: every practice is designed to nurture the estate’s biodiversity and strengthen the natural balance of our 216 hectares of vineyards.
Awards
This cuvée has shown remarkable consistency over the past ten years or so. It has won several awards at the Aix-en-Provence Competition, notably the Couronne d’Or in 2018 and again in 2025 (2024 vintage), as well as at the Mondial du Rosé, where it also won a gold medal in 2025. It also won a Gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris in 2023.
