More informations

The Cuvée Prestige Blanc embodies the ultimate expertise accumulated over decades. For half a century, Virant has relentlessly worked the land to achieve grapes of exceptional quality. In the cellar, our cellar master monitors this fine white wine daily as it undergoes a complex 6-month aging process on fine lees in oak barrels, requiring regular topping-up and tasting.

This bottle brings together the most seductive qualities Virant has to offer. Its time spent in our historic 17th-century cellar gives it subtly smoky and oaked notes on the nose. On the palate, the entry is intensely buttery, sliding into rich brioche flavors, offering a beautiful length highlighted by a highly elegant vanilla finish.

Pairing

This estate wine is perfect as an aperitif or paired with fish, white meats, lobsters, semi-cooked foie gras, rich stews, and characterful cheeses.

The ultimate expression of the Cuvée Prestige Blanc will reveal itself after being brought to temperature slowly and gradually.

Having been committed to sustainable and responsible viticulture for many years — recognised by the High Environmental Value (HVE) label — Virant is now taking a new step forward with an ambitious agro-ecological transition, centred on restoring and maintaining soil life. Plant cover, limiting inputs, and encouraging natural beneficial organisms: every practice is designed to nurture the estate’s biodiversity and strengthen the natural balance of our 216 hectares of vineyards.

Due to their limited production, Virant’s Cuvées Prestige are not entered into national competitions.
