Plus d'informations

Born in 1998 out of a quest for excellence, Inspiration Rouge is the flagship wine of Château Virant—a wine of character that makes an immediate impression from the very first sip. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Grenache, harvested from arid south-facing slopes, aged in large 19th-century concrete vats, and refined for 24 months before bottling.

The result? A powerful and generous red, with aromas of red fruit jam, cocoa, garrigue, and spices, with tannins that soften with time to reveal a silky texture and remarkable length on the palate.

Having been committed to sustainable and responsible viticulture for many years — recognised by the High Environmental Value (HVE) label — Virant is now taking a new step forward with an ambitious agro-ecological transition, centred on restoring and maintaining soil life. Plant cover, limiting inputs, and encouraging natural beneficial organisms: every practice is designed to nurture the estate’s biodiversity and strengthen the natural balance of our 216 hectares of vineyards.

This cuvée has had a more low-key but solid track record than its rosé and white counterparts: it won a Gold Medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris in 2018 and at the Vinalies Nationales in 2019 (2016 vintage), followed more recently by two Silver Medals at the Vinalies Nationales in 2024 and 2025.
