Chateau Virant Red Wine

With its deep colour and purple highlights, this red wine from Provence catches the eye from the very first glance. On the nose, it reveals a warm bouquet dominated by ripe black fruits and subtle hints of spice. On the palate, its roundness and smoothness come through fully in generous plum flavours, underpinned by pronounced tannins that ensure a long finish — a structured and intense Provence wine.

More informations

As Virant’s first wine with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status, our PDO Chateau Rouge Cuvée is a real asset at the table. More approachable and slightly less full-bodied than our famous Inspiration Cuvée, it charms with its ease of drinking and its vibrant, fruity profile.

It is the quintessential safe bet, recommended all year round by our wine merchants to accompany all your moments of togetherness. This harmony is the result of a meticulous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

To fully express the richness of the terroir, these grape varieties undergo careful vinification at temperatures between 20 and 25°C, accompanied by long maceration periods of around four weeks. This expertise results in a Provence wine that is both structured and supple. Its velvety palate, dominated by black fruits, blackcurrant and spices, is underpinned by pronounced tannins that give it superb length — a great red wine from Provence, the epitome of conviviality.
