A guided tour of the Virant universe

On a guided tour of Domaine Virant, learn more about the history of the vineyard and olive grove, and about the distinctive flavour profiles of our wines and olive oils. The experience concludes with a tasting of our finest vintages.

Type of tour

Accompanied by a member of our team, set off to discover our expertise in wine and olive oil production right at the heart of our facilities. Appellations, the art of blending, winemaking techniques, olive milling: this guided tour immerses you in the secrets that shape our wines and olive oils.

  • Duration: approximately 1,5 hours

The Virant Volte Trail – an immersive experience amongst the vineyards and olive groves

This self-guided walk takes you through the rows of vines and beneath the shade of the olive trees. At each stop, illustrated signs, anecdotes about the estate and little challenges will capture the attention of young and old alike. You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes look at our production process — the techniques, the choices and the seasons that go into making Virant’s wine and olive oil — and can test your knowledge with fun quizzes dotted along the way.

Type of tour

Collect your manuscript from the estate shop, then set off on your own to follow the stages of the trail. At each station, the manuscript helps you to write down your answers and make your way through the adventure.

When you return to the shop at the end of the trail, come and find out your results and tally up your points!

Walks starting from Virant

Several walking routes have been marked out, including one leading to the summit of Rocher Virant. Allow 30 to 45 minutes (one way), after which walkers are rewarded with a stunning 360° view of the entire region.

  • Intermediate route no. 1: 2 hours

The walking trails are accessible all year round, subject to compliance with prefectural notices regarding access to the mountain ranges, which are particularly strict during the summer months.

We urge all visitors to check the latest information before setting off and to follow these guidelines, as access to the trails is at your own risk.
